Widgets

Footer 1 – Contact Info & Map

I decided to add contact information so that if someone visiting the website ever needed to contact the owner, they are able to do so. I put an address for two reasons; first, an address and hours of availability allow visitors of the site to go visit the “office” or “headquarters” if they would like. The second reason I put an address is because the address I have provided is in Harrisonburg, which makes the website “Harrisonburgers” more realistic and relatable to the user.

Footer 2 – Google Translate

I added Google Translate as a widget, because I truly think it would be useful. Harrisonburg is home to many people whom English is not their first language, but that should not limit them from being able to find a burger that suits all of their wants and needs. So, Google Translate allows them to easily read any of the content within our website in their most-preferred language.

Footer 3 – Search

I decided to add a search widget, because I use this within other websites all the time. It’s so much easier, when you know what keyword you want to search, to let the search widget take you directly there, instead of spending minutes searching for it, when you may never even find what you’re looking for. I figured that if I use it, then so with other people. I wanted to make this website as clear to read and easy to navigate as possible.
